- Maintains minimum flow rates through boiler
- Eliminates the need to fit an uncontrolled radiator to act as a system by-pass
- Improves system efficiency
- Reduces risk of noise on systems fitted with thermostatic radiator valves
- 22mm compression fittings for ease of installation
- Lockable adjustment knob and set pressure indicator scale
The SBV22 ensures that there is a minimum flow of water through boilers that require a by-pass
In systems fitted with thermostatic radiator valves the SBV22 automatic by-pass valve remains closed when the TRV's are open calling for heat. This allows the full output of the boiler to circulate through the system. As the TRV's progressively close as heating demands are met, the SBV22 will open automatically as the resistance of the system starts to exceed the preset pressure setting. This assists TRV operation, reduces system noise and puts less strain on the system pump.
The fitting of an automatic by-pass valve eliminates the need to fit an uncontrolled radiator or manual by-pass valve to act as a system by-pass.
Both these solutions, to this traditional problem, introduce system inefficiency.
The SBV22 has a lockable adjustment Knob to prevent inadvertant adjustment and a set pressure indicator scale. The valve has 22mm compression connections for ease of installation and also to accommodate maximum flow capacity.
