Sunvic Controls is no stranger to the domestic heating market. In fact the company has been serving the industry for over 60 years and is probably best known for the TLX room thermostats and motorised valves which were fitted into the lion’s share of new-build during the 1970s and 80s.

As one of the industry’s main players during this era, Sunvic went from strength to strength, developing a brand synonymous with high performance and high quality, often leading the way for industry standard.

Why change?
There is always a danger of complacency within any successful company. At Sunvic we want to avoid that trap and move forward with change rather than looking back at glory days.

People’s needs and expectations change - the way a product is installed changes, market conditions change - lets face it, even the climate changes! As a company we feel responsible for taking these current issues and using technological advancements to create the next generation of innovative products. We do this by working with users and installers to understand new building regulations and climate issues and designing products that are easy to install and energy efficient.

It looks different, it sounds different but what has really changed for Sunvic?

New ownership status and investment means Sunvic’s future is firmly in our own hands. A new-look identity is a visible sign that the future is bright and fresh ideas are emerging.

An increased field presence and improved customer service levels are firmly in place to make sure we keep close to our customers - a number one priority for us today.

Another positive change is increased flexibility. Our willingness to work with customers, finding solutions to specific problems has been a great success so far and we recognise the need for a closer relationship with the people who specify, use and install our product. In other words – you!

The current Sunvic product portfolio:

Sunvic offer a complete solution from basic room thermostats through to motorised valves. Here is a brief overview of the products available:

Room Thermostats:
From basic electronic room thermostats to digital radio frequency programmable models, including features such as frost protection and concealed setting, there is a Sunvic thermostat to cover most applications. There is also a choice of colour ranging from brilliant white through to silver effect.

Most of our electronic room thermostats are also available in higher currents for industrial and commercial applications.

Timeswitches and Programmers:
The energy saving SelectXL range is available in timeswitch and programmer model. There is also the Simplex programmer with its patented sentinel (setback) design, created to solve the problems of access and give protection for tenants and landlord against illegal boiler negligence in compliance with Gas Safety Regulation 36.

Motorised Valves
As well as standard spring return valves Sunvic offer the high efficiency Motor on/ Motor off Valve (MoMo). Independent tests have proved this to be up to 95% more energy efficient than same duty spring return versions. A patented design offers the revolutionary ‘slipseal’ technology which gives improved reliability and performance over a longer life.

Thermostatic Radiator Valves
A full range is available from the low cost TRV200 through to the chrome effect radiator valve TRV750.

To complete the offering, all accessories such as Wiring Centre, Cylinder Thermostat, Automatic By-pass valves and Rod Thermostats are available in our product portfolio.
